Many people fear going to see the dentist. Some people even avoid it altogether unless and until they develop a problem which they have to go get it sorted. It is estimated that 4 out of 5 people have some kind of fear concerning the dentist. For some it’s a simple case of being nervous, but for others experience dental phobia. This is more extreme, it can jeopardise their ability to go for regular check-ups and thus to avoid more involved dental treatment’s.

What we can do to help?

We have different things we can do to help you and your dental phobia. If you want to talk to someone about your phobia but do not want to come to the practice we can organise meeting you at a local coffee shop which is about 150m away.

Worried about pain?

Here at Shine Dental Care we use different techniques to minimise the pain as much as possible, we also have something called the WAND, What is THE WAND? The WAND is a computerised anaesthetic delivery system, meaning it’s virtually painless! How does it work? The WAND uses a unique new technology, which is unlike any other.  It works at a low pressure and a slow rate that gives an improved anaesthesia.  It works more effectively, resulting in a more pleasant experience.
