We have appointment availability from 8am to 7pm Monday to Thursday, 8am to 6pm on Fridays and from 8am to 4pm on most Saturdays.

Emergency appointments:

It is our aim to offer same day appointments for our patients with dental emergencies during our usual surgery opening hours as we understand how distressing this can be. Despite our extended opening hours, from time to time dental emergencies can arise outside of this time. We therefore provide an out of hours on call service to ensure that any discomfort is resolved as soon as possible. This service is provided by our own clinicians to ensure that you are cared for in surroundings that you are familiar with.

Our dentists can either provide advice over the phone to put you at ease until you are able to come in to the practice, or in the case that immediate care is required, the practice will be opened at an agreed time so that the necessary treatment can be carried out.

Patient registered at Shine Dental Care if you have a significant dental emergency out of hours, please call the practice on 01623 629391 for further instructions.

If you aren’t yet a registered patient of Shine Dental Care and have a dental emergency, we will also aim to see you at the earliest available time. Please note that this is dependent on appointment availability and is limited to our surgery opening times

Late cancellation / Failed attendance Policy

Cancellation of an appointment with less than ‘Two Full Working Days’ notice usually means that we are unable to re-allocate the time to other patients. This leads to lost treatment time, which can then only be covered by increasing charges to our patients.

The Scheme responds to requests for assistance on a wholly discretionary basis. This means that, whilst the Scheme aims to provide benefits in most cases, it has no obligation to provide any benefit unless it first decides (in its sole and absolute discretion) that it should provide a benefit. There are some circumstances in which the Scheme is not designed to help and these are explained in more detail in the Scheme Handbook. Each request will be looked at individually to assess the request for benefit. Certain restrictions and limitations may apply in the event that the request is accepted and it is possible that the Scheme will decide to provide no benefit.
