Brighten Your Teeth Today
There are two ways to whiten your teeth; depending on the colour of your teeth the dentist will advise which one is best for you. There is either the white solution which is a home whitening kit which on average takes about 3-4 weeks, this is where gel is put into customised bleaching trays and slept in overnight, this will whiten your teeth to as naturally as they will do.
The second way is the enlighten whitening, this is where you bleach your teeth at home for 2-4 weeks, with the customised bleaching trays then an in surgery boost at the end with an extra strong gel just to finish it off.
Is it safe, will it damage my teeth?
Whitening is totally safe as long as it is done by a dental professional; it is now illegal for anyone other than a dentist to whiten your teeth.
How long will it last?
Forever, this is the beauty of whitening you will never go back to the old shade of your teeth, the colour may fade a little but we do top up kits this is where you use the gels and customised trays just for 1 or 2 nights every month or so.
How much does it cost?
As a member of our practice our take home tooth whitening starts from £440. The combination whitening starts from £600 as a member of the practice. We also do finance options at 0% typical APR over a year, or 6.9% typical APR over 3 years, or you can pay as you go along while doing the treatment.
What about laser whitening?
If you want a colour that will last forever, laser whitening isn’t the way forward. All laser whitening does is dehydrates your teeth for a few hours making them whiter, after a day or so the colour will start to fade and return to its natural colour.
What’s the process of whitening my teeth?
Firstly, we would make sure you are dentally healthy before you start the whitening process. After this we will take impressions of your teeth, send these off to a brilliant dental laboratory, a week later we will get some customised bleaching trays back. On this next appointment the dentist will talk you through the process, and give you the trays and bleaching gel. You will then go home and you will put the bleaching gel into the trays, and sleep in the trays every night for about 3-4weeks until you reach your desired shade.
When you come back to the practice the dentist will compare your shade on the shade guide and show you how many shades your teeth have whitened, or if you’re doing the power whitening after you will then have an hour long session doing the power whitening.
