We are delighted to receive an e-mail from a patient who first came to Shine Dental Care in Mansfield as a nervous patient. Due to fear, he had not attended a dentist for almost 10 years and as a result something that could have been treated quite simply in the first instance developed into toothache. It was this that initiated his first visit as an apprehensive patient and he comments, ” the first thing that struck me on arriving was how friendly everyone was, they knew I was a nervous patient and from the instant I arrived I felt relaxed. Members of Shine Dental Care in Mansfield have access to emergency dental care here at the practice. If you require the services of an emergency dentist during normal working hours we would ask that you contact the practice as early in the day as possible in order that we can arrange a suitable appointment. We try to allocate some “emergency” appointments each day but we are pleased to say that it is very unusual for our members to need this time. For this reason if you are not a member of the practice, but are experiencing a dental problem, then please contact us as we may be able to help. A new patient assessment, costing £48,  will be required. Radiographs may also be needed to assist with a diagnosis and are charged separately. (please note that this service is restricted to normal working hours only, for anyone not registered with us.)

If a member of the practice has a genuine dental emergency out of normal working hours please telephone the practice where information will be available.

Members need not worry when they are away on holiday as they also benefit from emergency callout cover which refunds costs incurred to obtain immediate pain relief both in the UK and abroad. (benefits range depending on timing of callout and whether this is in the UK or abroad. A £25 excess applies.)
